As part of this year’s IMPACT Day, Prologis’ day of charitable work and social commitment, the team in Düsseldorf donated 5,000 euros to the charity Freundeskreis e.V. Kinderhilfezentrum Düsseldorf, which used the money to purchase a vehicle for its girls' protection group.

“I am very pleased that our donation can help support girls and young women in difficult circumstances,” said Björn Thiemann, senior vice president, regional head Northern Europe at Prologis. “Our partnership with Freundeskreis e.V. Kinderhilfezentrum Düsseldorf goes back several years, and it is always gratifying to see how much good this association does for young people in Düsseldorf. By supporting charitable organizations like this one, we at Prologis want to set a positive example and inspire other companies to get involved in social causes.”

The Kinderhilfezentrum supports children and young people whose parents are in need, and its girls’ protection group offers girls and young women a safe space for confidential, open and fear-free discussions, as well as individual counseling and support in various areas, such as leisure and educational activities; prevention of violence, abuse, exploitation and discrimination; and support in crisis situations.
